Council approves Main Street concept plan introducing angle parking
Council in Melfort has approved the concept plan for parts of the downtown core.
City Manager Adam Homes told northeastNOW the plan begins with the replacement of the water, sewer, and storm systems on the three southern-most blocks of Main St.
Since the street will be torn up to complete the replacements, Homes said the city wanted to look at how they would be put back together.
“We’ve still got to do some public engagement, but council was looking at approving, conceptually, some angle parking in [downtown],” Homes said.
