Woytiuk goes first overall to North Stars, PA’s Borthwick taken number one by Ice Wolves in 2009 portion
The 2024 SJHL Draft is now in the books as eight full rounds of 2008 and 2009-born Saskatchewan hockey players have been chosen to become a part of a Junior A organization.
The draft, which began on 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, started with two rounds of 2009-born selections, with the La Ronge Ice Wolves selecting Prince Albert native, Declan Borthwick.
A forward for the Prince Albert Pirates in the U15 AA ranks this past season, Borthwick put up 57 points in just 28 games.
