Offense shines as Tisdale Trojans dump Yorkton, 10-6

A huge night for the Tisdale Trojans as they put up double digits against the Yorkton Maulers on the road.

Pryce Thiessen potted four goals and added an assist in Tisdale’s 10-6 win over the Maulers Wednesday night.

The win was Tisdale’s first victory of the season.

Eric Han also had five points on the night, with a goal and four assists. Han now leads the league with 11 points, while Thiessen’s six points boosts him to fifth in scoring. Tristan Hanson, Sean Shiels, and Cooper Atkinson each had three points, with 12 Trojans getting at least one point.

Jackson Dunn made 22 saves in the win, which improved the Trojans’ record to 1-3-1 on the season.

Tisdale are set to host the Regina Pat Canadians for a doubleheader this weekend. Puck drop at the RECPlex is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
