A second call for nominations is being made by the North East School Division for the upcoming school board election.

Nominations for subdivision three that includes Choiceland, White Fox and the rural areas around Nipawin and the subdivision five that includes Star City, Gronlid and Naicam need to be in by Oct. 21.

Director of Education Don Rempel told northeastNOW there will be an election for the Carrot River/Arborfield subdivision.

“The other subdivisions have been acclaimed in subdivisions one, four, six, and seven, and the town of Nipawin,” Rempel said.

Kathrene Bank has been acclaimed to the board in subdivision one that includes Hudson Bay, Kevin Graham in subdivision four that includes Melfort, Lori Kidney in subdivision six that includes Tisdale, and Ted Kwiatkowski of Porcupine Plain for subdivision seven that also includes Bjorkdale.

The subdivision that includes the town of Nipawin will have Marla Walton.

Mervin Edwards and Kevin Trew are the nominees for the Carrot River/Arborfiled division.

Nominees have to be a resident of the NESD and not necessarily of the subdivision,” Rempel said.

Nominees also need to be 18 years of age and need to have 10 electors who are residents of that subdivision sign the nomination paper and then submit to school division returning officer.
