Power pole fire sparks grass fire southeast of Meskanaw

The Melfort Fire Department (MFD) was called out to a power pole and grass fire southeast of Meskanaw late Sunday morning. 

Much of the pole was on fire by the time they arrived, and the pole was dropping fire to the ground. 

SaskPower disconnected power to the pole, allowing firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
