Mustangs stay at number six in CJHL rankings

The Melfort Mustangs hold steady in this week’s CJHL Top 20 rankings.

Melfort remains the sixth-ranked team in the nation after going undefeated last week.

The Mustangs opened the week with a 3-1 win on the road in Yorkton and followed that up with a 5-2 victory at home over Weyburn.

Melfort then took both sides of a home-and-home against Nipawin, with a 6-0 win at home, and a 2-1 shootout win over the Hawks on the road.

The Mustangs are now 36-7-0-0 on the season.

The only other team on the list is the Flin Flon Bombers, as they dropped two spots to be ranked number 14 in Canada.

Melfort leads Flin Flon by six points in the SJHL standings, and the Mustangs have two games in hand.
